The Wildcats of Sun Valley Senior High School recently celebrated the opening of their new Literacy Garden. Principal Clara Herran and the school’s faculty and staff put together an awesome showcase of talent and skill during the Literacy Garden ribbon-cutting ceremony. Local District North East Superintendent Linda Del Cueto was in attendance at the grand celebration. A collection of performances from the Wildcat Theatre Department, teacher Lauren Foster’s special education students, the Cheer Squad and ASB Leadership class did an awesome job organizing the event. All of the day’s events were captured by the SVHS Film Academy.

The Literacy Garden was established on the site of the former Arts and Media Building, which was ravaged by fire four years ago. The garden reflects all of the great things happening at Sun Valley High School. Located in the heart of the campus it will be used by students and staff for class and school gatherings.
